A few Toyota dealerships are now accepting unofficial bookings for the recently-revealed 2024 Vellfire luxury MPV. Read on to know more about the 4th-gen Vellfire luxury family mover.

The 2024 Toyota Vellfire made its global debut just a week ago and already, a few Toyota dealerships have opened bookings for the upcoming MPV. Meanwhile, dealers are also allocating the new Vellfire for customers who have booked the current-gen Vellfire sold in India but have not yet received their MPV. The token amount for booking ranges between Rs. 2 lakh to Rs. 5 lakh depending on the location and dealership. We expect Toyota to officially commence bookings for the new Vellfire soon.

The new Vellfire continues to measure under 5 metres in length and retains the bold stance of its predecessor. If you felt that the front profile of the Vellfire currently sold in India had too much chrome, you would like the front end of the new model since it uses a larger grille with chrome inserts and newly-designed LED headlights. The changes at the front give it a sportier look than the outgoing model. Around the side, the Vellfire looks long and continues to feature the signature kink around the middle of the window line. At the rear, the new Vellfire looks flat and boasts connected LED tail lights.

On your way into the cabin of the Vellfire, you get to step on the new retractable side steps, which is a first of its kind on any Toyota. Once you make your way in, you will notice a revamped dashboard that features a large free-standing touchscreen infotainment system. Thanks to the updated platform, Toyota have managed to offer additional legroom of 5mm and 10mm for the second- and third-row, respectively. Toyota have also re-engineered the seats and claim they offer less vibrations and better comfort.

The 2024 Toyota Vellfire comes with a 2.5L strong hybrid powertrain that puts out 250PS of power. Power is sent to all 4 wheels via Toyota’s e-four-wheel-drive system. The new Vellfire also offers a more-powerful 2.4L turbocharged petrol engine as a replacement for the older V6. The new engine churns out 275PS of power and 430Nm of torque.

Toyota currently offer the third-gen Vellfire as a completely built unit (CBU) in the Indian market. Since the unofficial bookings for the Vellfire are already open, we expect Toyota India to introduce the new Vellfire towards the end of 2023. While the Vellfire doesn’t have any direct rivals, it sits in close proximity to the larger Mercedes-Benz V-Class.
