Citroen Aircross X Bookings Open – New Features, Colour Options Teased

Citroen India have opened bookings for the upcoming Aircross X, with customers able to reserve the SUV by paying a token amount of Rs. 11,000. This update follows the “X” treatment previously given to the C3 and Basalt, where the badge signified a revised feature set and a more value-focused variant mix.

Citroen Aircross X: Exterior Updates

While the Aircross X has not been fully revealed, Citroen have released a teaser that hints at a fresh dark green paint option, likely to be exclusive to the X variants. The SUV is also expected to wear new ‘X’ badging on the tailgate and possibly updated alloy wheel designs to distinguish it from the standard Aircross.

Citroen Aircross X: Interior & Features

The teaser confirms a major feature addition in the upcoming Citroen Aircross X – cruise control. Other upgrades are expected to include:

Push-button start/stop with keyless entry
Ventilated front seats (segment-first for Citroën)
Wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay
White ambient lighting
Auto-dimming inside rear-view mirror
LED fog lamps
360-degree camera (optional, at extra cost)
Leatherette-wrapped dashboard & updated trim inserts

Citroen’s new Cara AI assistant, which debuted on the Basalt X, is also likely to feature. Cara can respond to voice commands, provide vehicle information, assist with navigation, and optimise routes based on real-time traffic.

Citroen Aircross X: Engine & Transmission

As with the C3 X and Basalt X, the Aircross X will not see any mechanical changes. It will continue with 2 engine options:

1.2L 3-cylinder normal petrol – 82PS and 115Nm; 5-speed manual gearbox
1.2L 3-cylinder turbo-petrol – 110PS and 190Nm (6 MT) or 205Nm (6 AT)

Citroen Aircross X: Bookings & Launch Timeline

Bookings are now open at Citroen dealerships and via the brand’s online platform. The official launch, along with a detailed variant-wise feature list and pricing, is expected to take place in the coming weeks.

With the X update, Citroën aims to give the Aircross a stronger equipment list and broader appeal in the competitive C-SUV segment, where it rivals the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Toyota Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, and MG Astor.
