Kia India have revealed the 2025 Carens Clavis, a premium alternative to the Carens MPV. As we expected, the Carens Clavis blends an upright SUV styling with the practicality of an MPV to rival other 7-seater people carriers such as the Maruti XL6, Citroen Aircross and the Hyundai Alcazar.

Take a closer look at the 2025 Kia Carens Clavis’s design, features, powertrain specs and booking details below.
The new Carens Clavis offers a modern, EV-inspired design when compared to the Carens. Up front, Kia have incorporated their new Digital Tiger Nose Grille flanked by angular L-shaped LED DRLs and tri-LED headlamps. The front bumper features silver skid plates for a rugged aesthetic.

The side profile of the Carens Clavis remains largely the same as the Carens MPV, save for new 17-inch machined alloy wheels. In comparison, the standard Carens rides on 16-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, Kia have incorporated new LED taillamps with a connected light bar and the rear bumper gets a silver skid plate as well.

Kia are offering a new colour option for the 2025 Carens Clavis called Ivory Silver, which should help it stand out from the Carens further.
As expected, the 2025 Carens Clavis offers an updated cabin layout over the Carens. The new Carens Clavis’s dashboard features a 36.62-inch panel that houses the digital driver’s display as well as the touchscreen infotainment system. It also gets the 2-spoke steering wheel from the Kia Syros, albeit with a dual-tone finish. Other feature highlights include:

The interior of the Carens Clavis is finished in beige to offer an airy feel. Like the Carens, the new Clavis is available with 6- and 7-seater configurations.
Kia offer a host of safety features with the new Carens Clavis. Standard safety features include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC) and rear occupant alert. Additionally, it also offers Level-2 ADAS features such as:

The 2025 Kia Carens Clavis offers the same engine options as the standard Carens. These include a 1.5L normal petrol, 1.5L turbo petrol and a 1.5L diesel engine:
Note: Kia have introduced a new 6-speed manual transmission option for the turbo petrol engine. In comparison, the standard Carens only gets a 6-speed auto clutch manual transmission and a 7-speed dual clutch automatic with this engine option.
Kia will open bookings for the 2025 Carens Clavis at midnight tonight (May 9, 00:01 am). The bookings amount for the new Carens Clavis is set at Rs. 25,000. While the standard Kia Carens is priced from Rs. 10.90 lakh to Rs. 19.70 lakh, we expect the new Carens Clavis to get a price tag ranging from Rs. 11.5 lakh to Rs. 21.5 lakh (ex-showroom). We expect Kia to reveal the variant-wise prices of the Carens Clavis in the first week of June.
