MG M9 Electric MPV Launched At Rs. 69.90 Lakh | V3Cars
JSW MG Motor India has officially launched the 2025 MG M9 electric luxury MPV in the country at a price of Rs. 69.90 lakh. The M9 sits between the Kia Carnival and Toyota Vellfire luxury MPVs, albeit with an all-electric powertrain.

2025 MG M9 Prices, Booking Amount & Delivery Timeline

With a price tag of Rs. 69.90 lakh, the new MG M9 not only competes with the Kia Carnival (Rs. 63.90 lakh) and the Toyota Vellfire (Rs. 1.22 core - Rs. 1.33 crore). The M9 is sold exclusively through MG Select, MG’s new premium retail network. Customers can book the MG M9 by paying a booking amount of Rs. 1 lakh. Deliveries of the M9 will start from August 10, 2025.

2025 MG M9 Exterior Design
In terms of dimensions, the new MG M9 is larger than both its rivals. It measures 5200mm in length, 2000mm in width, and 1800mm in height, with a 3200mm wheelbase. The front fascia features split LED headlights with a sleek DRL strip. It also features a prominent chrome lining on the bumper and a large trapezoidal air dam.
Fitted with 19-inch alloy wheels, the M9 comes with self-healing tyres from Continental. It also features electrically sliding rear doors. At the rear, the luxury MPV features sharp, connected LED taillamps that extend downwards, a spoiler with an integrated stop lamp, and chrome detailing on the bumper.
2025 MG M9 Interior And Features
On the inside, the MG M9 is bathed in brown leather and suede upholstery across its 3-row layout. The M9 features a 12.23-inch infotainment system, a 7-inch digital driver’s display and a 2-spoke steering wheel. The centre console features a ‘floating’ design to maximise storage space underneath.
The 2nd row is the highlight, featuring reclinable captain’s chairs. These seats offer a suite of comfort functions, including massage, heating, and cooling, along with fold-out ottomans for extended legroom. Occupants can control seat adjustments and access entertainment features via dedicated touchscreens mounted on the armrests and headrests.
For added convenience, the M9 includes a ‘boss mode’ that allows the 2nd-row passenger to slide the front passenger seat forward, creating even more rear legroom. The 3rd row accommodates 3 passengers and gets dedicated AC vents and USB-A charging ports. The M9 also offers a generous 945 litre boot, which is expandable to 1,720 litres with the 3rd row folded down. A 55-liter frunk (front trunk) provides additional storage.
The India-spec MG M9 is loaded with creature comfort features and technology, including:

- Digital IRVM
- Wireless charger
- 360-degree camera
- 13-speaker sound system
- Cabin air filter
- Connected car technology
- Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) functionality
- 64-colour ambient lighting
2025 MG M9 Safety And Performance
In terms of safety, the MG M9 comes equipped with:
- 7 airbags
- ADAS (Level 2)
- Front and rear disc brakes
- Tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS)
- Electronic stability program (ESP)
Powering the M9 is a 90kWh Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) battery, which is known for its higher energy density compared to standard Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) units. The M9 is equipped with a front-mounted electric motor that produces 245PS of power and 350Nm of torque.
According to MG, the M9 delivers a claimed range of 548km on a single charge. For charging, the M9 supports a 160kW DC fast charger, capable of topping up the battery from 0-100 percent in just 90 minutes. A standard 11kW AC charger will fully charge the battery in 10 hours. MG are offering the M9 with a 11kW standard home charger and a 3.3kW portable charger.
