Here’s What To Expect From 2025 Tata Harrier EV Ahead Of Its June 3 Launch | V3Cars
The electric SUV segment in India is about to get a whole lot more exciting with the upcoming launch of the Tata Harrier EV on June 3, 2025. Tata Motors have already showcased the Harrier EV in the metal and demonstrated its capabilities at their manufacturing plant in Chakan near Pune. In this article, we take a look at what you can expect from the Harrier EV as a potential buyer for an electric SUV.

2025 Tata Harrier EV To Offer All-Wheel Drive – First Tata To Do So After Safari Storme
One of the most anticipated aspects of the Harrier EV is its all-wheel-drive (AWD) capability. This feature immediately sets it apart from its current rivals such as the Mahindra XEV 9E and BYD Atto 3. Equipped with electric motors at either axles, we expect the Harrier EV to offer a driving experience that’s both dynamic and sure-footed. Tata aren’t just electrifying an existing SUV; they’re enhancing it, aiming for a balance of thrilling performance and everyday practicality.
2025 Tata Harrier EV Battery Capacity And Range
While Tata Motors are yet to reveal the battery capacity and the performance figures of the electric motors, we expect the 2025 Harrier EV to deliver a range of over 500 km, addressing concerns of range anxiety for those considering the switch from ICE cars to electric.
Tata Harrier EV Design And Feature
When it comes to design, the Harrier EV takes the already striking Harrier and gives it a modern, electric twist. You’ll see familiar elements, yet with distinctive EV touches. Upfront, the Harrier EV sports a blanked-off grille and a redesigned bumper, reminiscent of the design seen on the Curvv EV. The signature LED lighting setup, with its dynamic DRLs, remains, creating a strong visual presence.
Moving along the side, the Harrier EV showcases new alloy wheels designed for aerodynamic efficiency, and the ‘.ev’ badging on the front door announces its electric identity. At the rear, the connected LED taillamps continue to make a statement.
Inside, the cabin echoes the Harrier ICE’s design but with a fresh perspective. A contemporary grey and white color scheme creates a spacious and airy feel, and the dual digital displays and the illuminated Tata logo on the 4-spoke steering wheel add to the modern, tech-forward ambiance.
Tata is also loading the Harrier EV with a host of features, including a large 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, powered and ventilated front seats, and a 10-speaker JBL sound system. Adding to the convenience is Tata's ‘Summon Mode’, a remote-controlled parking function. The Harrier EV will also support vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2C) charging.
Tata Harrier EV Safety Features And Expected Prices
The Harrier EV is expected to offer ith a comprehensive suite of features, including:
- ADAS
- 7 airbags
- ABS with EBD
- 360-degree camera
- Electronic stability control
- Tyre pressure monitoring system
- Electronic parking brake with auto hold
With an expected starting price of around Rs 21.5 lakh (ex-showroom), the Harrier EV will enter a competitive segment, taking on the Mahindra XEV 9e and the BYD Atto 3. Its AWD capability gives it a unique selling proposition, particularly against the Mahindra XEV 9e. While the Mahindra XEV 9e might offer some advanced technology, the Harrier EV is likely to have broader appeal, and Tata Motors’ experience in the EV market could give it an edge.
