2025 Tata Sierra Expected Price And Launch Timeline (Petrol, Diesel) — With Logic | V3Cars

Tata Motors are likely to bring back the Sierra nameplate around November 2025. This new Tata car will compete in the slightly upper band of the C-segment SUV space. Tata will position it between the Curvv and Harrier. It is a 5-seater SUV and is likely to serve as a premium alternative to other C-segment SUVs, while primarily targeting Tata’s key rival, the Mahindra Thar Roxx.

2025 Tata Sierra Petrol & Diesel Expected Range In India

While the Roxx has the Thar brand and a capable 4WD system to support it, the Sierra has the ‘Sierra’ brand. With the EV, they may even offer it with 4WD as their Acti.EV platform is capable of accepting dual-motor 4WD systems. Thus, helping Tata bring Sierra’s credentials back up to the Thar Roxx’s levels.

Tata Sierra Petrol/Diesel Pricing Strategy Explained

In Tata’s portfolio, the Sierra will sit between the Curvv and Harrier. With the Curvv starts at Rs. 10.0 lakh and the Harrier’s ex-showroom prices starting from Rs. 15.0 lakh onwards, the Sierra’s expected starting price of Rs. 12.50 lakh places it naturally between the two.

Moreover, the Mahindra Thar Roxx — which the Sierra is expected to compete with directly — is costs between Rs. 12.99 lakh and Rs. 23.39 lakh (ex-showroom). The Sierra is likely to undercut the Thar Roxx across the variant range, offering a more road-biased 5-seater SUV alternative with multiple powertrains and urban-focused styling. Tata people know that they can’t price their offering on par with the Roxx and expect it to challenge it well. The Curvv was supposed to challenge the might of other C-segment SUVs but has failed to capture a significant market share.

With a top-end expected price of Rs. 21.0 lakh, the Sierra will stay below the Thar Roxx 2WD top model while covering a wide price band through petrol and diesel engine options.
