The 2025 Toyota Innova Hycross has scored a 5-star safety rating from the Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (BNCAP). This safety rating covers both adult and child occupant protection, cementing the Hycross’s position as one of India’s safest MPVs.

2025 Toyota Innova Hycross BNCAP Crash Test Results

The 2025 Toyota Innova Hycross demonstrated strong performance in Bharat NCAP’s crash assessments. The tested variants included the GX 8-seater (petrol) as well as the VX 8-seater and ZX 7-seater (hybrid) variants, and the ratings apply to all variants of the MPV.

In the Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) tests, the Innova Hycross scored an impressive 30.47 out of a possible 32 points, earning a 5-star rating. In the frontal offset deformable barrier test, it secured 14.47 out of 16 points. While the chest protection for both the driver and front passenger was rated as ‘Adequate’, other body parts received a ‘Good’ rating. In the side movable deformable barrier test, the Hycross achieved a perfect score of 16 out of 16 points, with ‘Good’ ratings for all body parts. It also received an ‘OK’ rating in the side pole impact test.

For Child Occupant Protection (COP), the Hycross received a score of 45 out of 49 points, also securing a 5-star rating. It achieved full marks in the Dynamic score (24 out of 24 points), which assesses protection for 18-month and 3-year-old child dummies. The Child Restraint System (CRS) installation score was also perfect, with 12 out of 12 points. The vehicle assessment score, which measures compatibility with child safety requirements, was 9 out of 13 points.
