Enthusiasts have already shown tremendous interest, with the initial batch of Golf GTIs sold out soon after pre-bookings commenced on May 5, 2025. These units are being brought to India as full imports (CBU). The 2025 Golf GTI rivals the Mini Cooper S, which is priced at Rs. 44.90 lakh (ex-showroom).

Under the bonnet, the highly anticipated Volkswagen Golf GTI boasts a 2L turbo-petrol engine. This unit produces an impressive 265PS of maximum power and 370Nm of peak torque. Mated to a quick-shifting 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT), this hot hatchback delivers exhilarating performance, rocketing from 0-100kmph in a mere 5.9 seconds and achieving a top speed of 267kmph.
