16 Features 2025 Tata Altroz Facelift Offers Over Maruti Baleno | V3Cars
Tata Motors have launched the 2025 Altroz at an introductory starting price of Rs. 6.89 lakh (ex-showroom). The 2025 Altroz offers several design changes as well feature additions over its predecessor. The new Altroz facelift rivals other B2-segment hatchbacks such as the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai i20 and the Toyota Glanza.

In this article, we take a look at 16 features the 2025 Altroz offers over the Maruti Baleno.
1. 6 Airbags As Standard
With a heightened focus on road safety in the country these days, Tata Motors are offering the 2025 Altroz with 6 airbags as standard. While Maruti Suzuki are updating their current lineup with 6 airbags across all variants, the 2025 Baleno is yet to receive this crucial safety update. Currently, only the top Zeta and Alpha variants of Balneo offer 6 airbags.
2. Sunroof
Tata Motors are offering the Altroz facelift with a single-pane sunroof that can be opened and closed via voice commands. In comparison, Maruti do not offer a sunroof in any variants of the Baleno. In the Altroz, the sunroof is optional in the Pure and Creative variants and standard in the Accomplished S and Accomplished Plus S variants. Tata are yet to reveal the cost of the optional sunroof for the Pure and Creative variants.

3. 10.25-Inch Touchscreen Infotainment System
The 2025 Tata Altroz offers a bigger infotainment system than the Baleno. While the Pure variant only gets a 7-inch touchscreen, the Creative, Accomplished S and Accomplished Plus S offer a wide 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. In comparison, Maruti offer a 9-inch touchscreen in the Baleno’s top Alpha variant and 7-inch touchscreens in the mid Delta and Zeta variants. Only the Zeta and Alpha variants offer wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
4. 10.25-Inch Digital Driver’s Display With In-Built Navigation
The 2025 Altroz facelift offers a wide 10.25-inch digital driver’s display in its top Accomplished Plus S variant. Apart from offering crucial driving and trip data, this screen offers an in-built navigation feature as well. In comparison, the Baleno offers a traditional speedometer and tachometer with a multi-info display (MID) in between them. The Zeta and Alpha variants get a full-colour MID while the Sigma and Delta variant gets a monochrome unit.
5. Blind Spot Monitor
While both hatchbacks offer 360-degree surround view cameras in their top variants, the Altroz 2025 offers a blind spot monitor that offers a feed of vehicles in your blind spot on the instrument cluster while turning.

6. 8-Speaker Audio System
Tata offer 4 speakers and 4 tweeters in the top variants of the Altroz 2025 for an immersive sound experience. In comparison, Maruti only offer 4 speakers and 2 tweeters in top 2 variants.
7. Wireless Phone Charger
Tata Motors offer a wireless smartphone charger in the front centre console of the top Accomplished S and Accomplished Plus S variants. In comparison, the Baleno does not offer a wireless charging pad. Instead, it offers Type-A and Type-C fast charging ports for both the front and rear row.
8. Rain-Sensing Wipers

9. TPMS
The Altroz also offers another safety feature that is missing in the Baleno – a tyre pressure monitoring system, or TPMS. A TPMS monitors the air pressure inside your tyres and alerts you if the pressure is low.

10. LED Fog Lamps With Cornering Function
While both the Altroz 2025 and Baleno offer LED fog lamps in their top variants, only the Altroz facelift gets cornering function. 11. Air Purifier
An essential feature if you are living in a metro city, Tata Motors are offering the top Accomplished Plus S variant of the Altroz 2025 with an air purifier. The Baleno does not get this feature in any of its variants.
12. Ambient Lighting
The 2025 Altroz facelift is offered with ambient lighting in its top variants. The Baleno, on the other hand, offers a front footwell lamp in its top 2 variants. However, Maruti Suzuki do offer an ambient lighting kit as part of the Baleno’s accessories package.

13. Rear Armrest
The Tata Altroz offers a rear armrest with cupholders in its top variants while the Baleno does not. The rear armrest not only aids comfort for rear passengers on long journeys but also offers the convenience of cup holders.

14. Cooled Glovebox
The refreshed Altroz hatchback offers a cooled glovebox, which the Baleno does not. A cooled glovebox comes in handy to keep your drinks chilled, especially on long drives or a road trip.
15. Connected LED Taillamps
While both the 2025 Altroz and Baleno offer LED tail lamps, only the Altroz gets a connected LED taillamp. In fact, the connected LED taillamp in the Altroz is a segment-first feature.
16. Flush Door Handles
Last but not the least, the 2025 Altroz facelift offers flush door handles for the front doors to aid its design and aerodynamics. In fact, the 2025 Altroz is the first car in its segment to offer flush door handles.
Apart from the above-mentioned features, the 2025 Altroz also offers the option of an AMT as well as a dual-clutch automatic (DCT) gearbox with the Altroz petrol, while the Baleno is only available with an AMT. The Altroz is also the only hatchback in its segment to offer a diesel engine.
