2026 Hyundai Ioniq 5 Launched At Rs. 55.70 Lakh – Gets Bigger Battery, 690km Range | V3Cars

Hyundai Motor India have launched the updated Hyundai Ioniq 5 in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 55.70 lakh. The 2026 update brings a larger battery pack, improved range, new features and minor design changes, albeit with a price increase of Rs. 9.4 lakh.

2026 Ioniq 5 Launched With Up To 690km Range

The biggest update for the 2026 Ioniq 5 is the new 84kWh battery pack, replacing the 72.6kWh battery offered earlier. Based on the same E-GMP platform as before, the new Ioniq 5 offers an ARAI-certified range of up to 690km compared to the previous 631km range. This significantly improves real-world usability and reduces range anxiety, especially for highway driving.

Subtle Design Updates

The Ioniq 5 facelift retains its signature pixel-inspired design but gets a few cosmetic tweak to keep it fresh.

Key changes include:

Revised front and rear bumpers
New alloy wheel design
Updated rear spoiler
Tweaked lighting elements

Dual 12.3-inch screens (infotainment + instrument cluster)

The 2026 IONIQ 5 gets several new tech upgrades:

Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
Over-the-air (OTA) updates
In-car payment for EV charging
Active Sound Design (ASD)
Remote immobilisation via Bluelink

Hyundai have also added new safety features to the 2026 Ioniq 5, including:
