Kia India have expanded the Carens Clavis variant lineup with the introduction of a new HTE (EX) trim. This newly added variant slots in between the HTE (O) and HTK Plus variants, giving buyers a fresh option that offers a sunroof and automatic climate control while retaining the core feature set of the lower variants.

What’s New In The 2026 Carens Clavis HTE (EX)?

The Rs. 51,000 premium over the lower HTE (O) variant gets you the following features:

  • LED DRLs
  • Single-pane sunroof
  • Auto AC
  • Driver window one-touch up/down

With the introduction of the new variant, buyers opting for the Carens Clavis normal petrol finally get a sunroof.

In terms of equipment, the HTE (EX) retains most features from the HTE (O). These include:  

  • 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system 
  • Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
  • 6-speaker audio system
  • Semi-digital instrument cluster
  • Rear parking camera
  • Powered ORVMs with turn indicators
  • Rear window sunshade

On the safety front, Kia offer 6 airbags as standard, along with TPMS, hill start assist, front and rear parking sensors, all 4 disc brakes and ISOFIX child-seat mounts.
