2026 Nissan MPV Spied Testing – Launch, Design & Details | V3Cars

Earlier this year, Nissan announced 2 new products for the Indian market – a B2-segment MPV and a C-segment SUV. The latter was revealed recently as the Nissan Tekton, which takes design inspiration from the Nissan Patrol and underpinnings from the upcoming Renault Duster.

The B2-MPV, on the other hand, will be based on the recently launched Renault Triber facelift. Like the Tekton, the Nissan MPV is expected to go on sale in the first half of 2026. Here’s what the latest Nissan MPV spy shots reveal.

2026 Nissan MPV Spied Testing: Exterior And Interior Highlights

The latest spy shots of the Nissan MPV give us a glimpse of its front and side profile. Up front, we expect the upcoming MPV to share the same headlights and heavily sculpted bonnet with the Triber facelift. To differentiate itself from the Triber, Nissan are expected to give their MPV a new grille and a completely redesigned bumper with C-shaped LED DRLs and LED fog lamps.

The side profile looks identical to the Triber. However, we could expect the Nissan MPV to offer different styled steel wheels to help it stand apart from the Renault MPV. While the rear of the upcoming MPV is not visible in the latest spy shots, we expect it to be more or less the same as the Triber facelift, albeit with different tail lamp graphics and a revised bumper.

On the inside, the Nissan MPV could offer the same 3-row seating layout with removable 3rd row seats as the Triber. Overall, the interior could resemble the Triber for the most part with a few changes such as different colours for the door pads and trims. The upcoming Nissan MPV could offer the following features:

  • 6 airbags
  • 7-inch semi-digital driver’s display
  • 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system
  • Wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay
  • Wireless charging pad
  • Cruise control
  • Rain-sensing wipers
  • Rear AC vents
  • Push-button start
  • Reclining seats
  • Front and rear parking sensors
  • Reverse camera

2026 Nissan MPV Powertrain Specs

Since the Nissan MPV is based on the Triber, we expect it to offer the same engine and transmission options as the Renault MPV. The Triber facelift is offered with a 1L normal petrol engine producing 72PS of power and 96Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT.

Here are the powertrain specifications of the Truiber facelift for reference:

Nissan MPV Expected Launch And Rivals

Nissan India are yet to specify which of the 2 upcoming models will launch first. If we take into account the Triber facelift is already on sale while the Duster is yet to arrive on our shores, we expect Nissan to launch their version of the MPV first. Since all the R&D, testing, supply chain, tooling, and regulatory approvals were already done by Renault, it won’t take too long for Nissan to launch their badge-engineered version of the MPV.

We expect the Nissan MPV to launch in February or March 2026 at slightly higher prices than the Renault Triber. When launched, the Nissan MPV will not only rival its Renault twin but also take on MPVs such as the Maruti Ertiga and Toyota Rumion. It could also be considered a more spacious alternative to the Tata Punch and Maruti Suzuki WagonR or even the Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.
