Tata Motors have launched the 2026 Harrier turbo petrol at a starting price of Rs. 12.89 lakh (ex-showroom). The Harrier’s petrol variants are equipped with the same 1.5L turbo petrol engine as the Sierra 2026. The launch of the Harrier turbo petrol not only reduces the entry point to the SUV but also sees the introduction of exclusive new features. Let’s take a look.

The Harrier diesel-manual variants are priced Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 1.11 lakh higher than the Harrier turbo petrol-manual variants.
The Harrier diesel-automatic variants are priced at a premium of Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 1.16 lakh over the Harrier turbo petrol-automatic variants.
The introduction of the turbo petrol engine has lowered the entry point to the Harrier SUV by Rs. 1.11 lakh.
The top Fearless Ultra variant is exclusive to the Harrier petrol. It costs Rs. 40,000 more than the Harrier diesel’s top Fearless X Plus variant.
The top Fearless Ultra variant of the Harrier petrol offers a few additional features over the Harrier diesel Fearless X Plus variant. They include digital inside rear view mirror (IRVM), a new white and brown interior theme, a larger 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Dolby Atmos, a 65W USB-C fast charging port, front and rear dashcams as well as washers for the front and rear parking cameras.

Both the 1.5L turbo petrol and 1.5L diesel engine that power the Harrier produce an identical 170PS of power. However, the diesel engine produces its peak power lower down the rev range.
The new 1.5L turbo petrol engine produces 70Nm less torque than the 1.5L diesel engine.
Both engines are offered with a choice of 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmissions.
