Tata Motors launched the 2026 Punch on January 13, 2026. For 2026, Tata Motors are offering the Punch with 2 petrol engine options – a 1.2L normal petrol and a 1.2L turbo petrol – as well as a 1.2L CNG bi-fuel option with the choice of both a manual and AMT automatic transmission. Prices for the Punch 2026 range from Rs. 5.59 lakh to Rs. 10.54 lakh (ex-showroom).

In this article, we’ll explore the variant-wise powertrain options and their specifications. Tata Motors are offering the Punch facelift in 8 variants – Smart, Pure, Pure Plus, Pure Plus S, Adventure, Adventure S, Accomplished and Accomplished Plus S.

2026 Tata Punch – Variant-Wise Engine And Transmission Options

The 2026 Punch facelift is available with the following 5 powertrain options:

1.2L normal petrol-manual (5MT)
1.2L normal petrol-automatic (5AMT)
1.2L turbo petrol-manual (6MT)
1.2L CNG-manual (5MT)
1.2L CNG-automatic (5AMT)

The 1.2L normal petrol engine with the 5-speed manual transmission is available in all variants of the Punch 2026.
The 1.2L normal petrol engine with the 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT) is not available in the base Smart and Pure variants as well as the mid Adventure S.
The 1.2L turbo petrol-manual, which is a new powertrain option for the Punch 2026, is only available in the mid Adventure and top Accomplished Plus S variants.
The 1.2L CNG-manual powertrain is available in all variants except the top Accomplished Plus S variants.
The 1,2L CNG-automatic powertrain, which is a new option for the Punch facelift, is not available in the Smart, Pure, Pure Plus S and Accomplished variants.
