23 Per Cent Sales Growth For Toyota India In First Half Of 2018
Toyota Kirloskar Motors has released the sales figures for the month of June 2018. The automaker has registered sold a total of 13,088 units in domestic market and exported 1,014 units of the Etios series this month, clocking a total of 14,102 units. The Japanese automaker had sold 1,973 units in the domestic market and exported 1,655 units of the Etios series in June 2017. It happened as an impact on the dealers owing to the uncertainty surrounding the implementation of GST in July 2017, according to the company.
Talking about the performance, N.Raja, Deputy Managing Director- Toyota Kirloskar Motors said, "We have achieved triple-digit growth this month as compared to June 2017 owing to last year's GST scenario, wherein we supplied as per the market demand which was impacted due to impending GST implementation. The real scenario of June-July sales will be clear after July-end compared to Jun-July 2017."

The company released a statement stating that it has registered 23 per growth in the first half of 2018 from January-June 2018 as compared to the same period last year. The credit to this sales growth has been dedicated to the Innova Crysta and the Fortuner along with the recently launched Yaris sedan. According to the statement, Innova Crysta has recorded a 43 percent growth in April-June 2018 as compared to the same quarter last year.
