    5 New car launches in India in the coming 3 months’ time

    The Indian car market will be witnessing the launch of tons of new car model in the current calendar year of 2018, while quite a few important launches will take place in around the coming 3 months’ time.

    Take a look at some of the new cars that are expected to launch in the car market of India in the next 3 months:

    1.    All new Honda Amaze

    The second generation Honda Amaze sedan was unveiled globally at the Auto Expo 2018 and will be hitting the Indian market in May this year. The new avatar Amaze is going to be more stylish, more premium, more feature loaded and also likely to be slightly more expensive than the outgoing model. The powertrains will be carried over from the ongoing model, while the diesel model will be endowed with a CVT gearbox option. The new generation Amaze is looking to boost sales and fight better in the highly competitive sub-4 meter SUV segment of India.


    2.    Ford Freestyle

    The Ford Freestyle CUV will hit the domestic car market in April, 2018. It is essentially the beefed up avatar of the Figo hatch with lots of rugged styling elements. Although it belongs to the hatch turned crossover or pseudo-SUV segment in India, Ford has unveiled the Freestyle as an urban crossover model. The Freestyle will introduce the new 1.2L 3-cylinder engine from Ford’s Dragon series.

    3.    New Mitsubishi Outlander

    The all new Outlander will also launch in India next month. The new Mitsubishi Outlander premium SUV will be offering 7-seater configuration and contemporary styling. The India-spec model will pack in the same 2.4L petrol mill which powered the preceding model that offers 169 bhp of max power and 225 Nm of top torque, while AWD will be offered as standard.


    4.    BMW X3

    The all new BMW X3 is preparing to launch in India. The all new luxury SUV will also be launching next month. The new X3 is expected to come with a price range of around Rs. 56 lakhs. The new X3’s styling is very similar to that of the X5, and it is based on the BMW’s new CLAR platform. This will make the new X3 stiffer, safer and lighter than its predecessor.

    5.    Mercedes E-Class All-Terrain

    Mercedes Benz introduced the E-Class All-Terrain version to India at the Auto Expo 2018. As its name suggests, it is the tougher, rough road handling version of the E-Class luxury sedan. The E-Class All-Terrain model is expected to launch in India sometime around May this year. The new model is based on the estate version of the E-Class sedan and comes braced with the 4MATIC all four wheel drive system. It also rides on large 19 inch wheels. In the Indian car market, the E-Class All-Terrain will be launching in the 220d diesel engine model. It will deliver 194 bhp of max power along with 400 Nm of peak torque.
