    Creta facelift revealed with a fascinating new feature a connected grille

    Hyundai launched Creta compact SUV in July 2015 and this is a top selling model in India. Within a year post introduction, it was reported that Hyundai is likely to roll out 80,000 units of the car. Owing to the high demand, Hyundai is now working on Creta facelift, and this car is not going to launch in India any time soon. It is expected to arrive sometime in 2018.

Owing to the high demand, Hyundai is now working on Creta facelift, and this car is not going to launch in India any time soon. It is expected to arrive sometime in 2018.

    An interesting new detail was revealed about Creta facelift which is a connected grille, based on the design of teaser image, the grille extends to headlight cluster and it has a neat chrome polish. It is intriguing to read about the upcoming Creta facelift having a connected grille, but according to reports this kind of design architecture is not visible on the model for Indian and Chinese markets.

    The teaser image also discloses other fascinating details about the Creta facelift which is a professionally designed hexagonal grille with a wider dimension and it is surrounded by shiny chrome. There are also re-structured tail lights covered in chrome and also a re-worked bumper. For South American markets Creta facelift will under manufacturing at the acclaimed Piracicaba factory in Sao Paulo, and in this region, the sales are likely to commence in early 2017.

    Hyundai has not exposed details on how the Indian spec Creta facelift is going to look, but details of the 2017 model for Brazilian markets is known. What is new and fascinating about the Creta facelift? The details discovered on the teaser image is new bigger grille and this is in sync with Hyundai’s latest innovative design language. The bumper has a new design as well and at the bottom there is a re-structured faux skid plate. An important change to take note of is there is classy looking horizontal fog lights and this is a replacement for trendy vertical fog lights. The styling of LED daytime running lights and headlights with projector units is the same as present car.

    There are some new modifications to look forward to on the rear as well, here the reverse lights are now fitted beneath main stop lamps. There is a neat silver faux finish on skid plate, there are certain changes on the forthcoming Creta facelift, indicating some amount of newness. As mentioned earlier design details of Indian-spec car is not revealed, which means the styling can be just like the model for Brazilian markets or it could be totally different.

    Currently, Hyundai Creta is in huge demand in India, in 2016 September, 8835 units of the car was sold, higher than the sales of even the popular Renault Duster at 1014 units and 4417 units of EcoSport was sold during this period. Now for the interesting question, what can we expect in the upcoming Creta facelift, since the buying capacity of this car is enormous, Hyundai is certainly planning on an even more fantastic style statement. Since the car is expected to arrive in 2018, we can expect a whole lot of awesome changes and new layer of freshness. The estimated price of the base model is Rs 9.5 lakhs and the high-end model is likely to cost Rs 14.90 lakhs.
