2020 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Petrol Engine
We know that Maruti Suzuki has discontinued all of its diesel engine options including the ubiquitous 1.3-litre, Fiat-sourced turbo diesel engine. 2 cars in Maruti’s portfolio - the S-Cross and the Vitara Brezza were earlier available only with a diesel engine. That’s not an option anymore. So, the 2020 Brezza facelift got a 1.5-litre petrol engine, which makes 105PS of power and 138Nm of torque. The Brezza gets this engine with a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The engine with the automatic is a mild-hybrid while the manual transmission is available with a non-hybrid engine.
Now you must be wondering why we’re talking about the Brezza? That’s because the S-Cross will also get the same engine and transmission.
The only question left unanswered is whether the manual transmission will come with the hybrid engine or not. The automatic will certainly get the hybrid tech to help with getting a reasonable fuel efficiency figure and balance the gas-guzzling nature of a fluid coupling.

2020 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross BS6 Dimensions
The S-Cross launched in 2015 and received a facelift in 2017 just two years into its life. That facelift really helped keep the S-Cross alive as it now looks better equipped to at least challenge, if not beat, the C segment SUVs like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. For 2020, the S-Cross is only getting a powertrain update. So, the dimensions will remain exactly the same as before. Here’s a look at S-Cross dimensions:
