In this April 2023 car sales analysis article, we’ll look at the YoY and MoM change in sales figures of all A-segment hatchbacks in India. We’ll also include our observations based on the sales data and possible reasons behind a massive increase or drop in sales where applicable. Lastly, the table with monthly sales of all A-segment hatchbacks for the last 6 months will give you an idea about the 6-month sales trend.
A-Segment Hatchback April 2023 Car Sales - YoY Change
- Among mass volume cars from the A-segment hatchback category, the Alto K10 and Alto 800 were the only gainers, with a 10.58% YoY growth in April
- The S-Presso saw the biggest YoY change in April 2023, with a decline of 62% in April 2023 over April 2022
- Renault Kwid also saw a 48% decline in dispatch figures over that of April 2022

A-Segment Hatchback April 2023 Car Sales - MoM Change
- Renault Kwid was the only MoM loser in the A-segment in April 2023, with a decline of over 15.67% over its March sales figures
- Th Alto pair was the top gainer with over 26% MoM growth
- Alto pair was followed by Celerio with 5.25% MoM growth and S-Presso with 4.87% growth
