In this April 2023 Tata car sales analysis article, we’ll look at the car sales of Tata Motors for the last month. We’ll also compare the YoY and MoM change to find out which Tata cars’ sales improved and which ones declined. Lastly, the table with monthly sales for the last 6 months will give you an idea about the 6-month sales trend of all Tata cars.

April 2023 - Tata Car Sales Figures - YoY Change

Tata Motors’ overall sales performance was good in the first month of the 2023 financial year.
Over half the cars in Tata’s portfolio reported a growth in sales numbers in April of 2023 compared to that of April of 2022.
The cars from Tata that reported a decline in sales reported miniscule declines, with the exception of the Tigor, which reported a decline of 17% in YoY comparison in the month of April.
The other losers were the Safari and Harrier, which reported a decline of 2.03% and 0.07%, respectively.
The Tiago was the top gainer, with about 67% YoY growth, which was followed by the Nexon with 11.37% growth.
The Nexon is the big volume car in Tata Motors’ portfolio, and now the Punch is following closely in second spot.
The Nexon and Punch are the only 2 cars in Tata’s portfolio with a 5-figure monthly sales figure.

April 2023 - Tata Car Sales Figures - MoM Change

All of the Tata cars saw a rise in MoM sales in the month of April over May 2023.
In terms of MoM change, the Altroz was the top gainer with an MoM growth of 20.61%
The Altroz was followed by the Tigor with an MoM growth of 16.60% growth.
The other cars and their MoM growth are:
- Tiago (14.72%)
- Harrier (8.67%)
- Safari (7.35%)
- Nexon (1.58%)
- Punch (0.37%)
