Audi Q2 Discontinued Globally - No Replacement Planned | V3Cars

Audi have taken the Q2 off the shelves globally. Audi’s spokesperson confirmed that the German carmaker is not looking forward to a second-generation model of the Q2. In addition to that, Audi have also pulled the plug on the A1 supermini which was on sale in international markets. Going forward, Audi will place their focus on bigger products that return higher profits.

Audi Q2

Audi launched the Q2 in India in 2020. Surprisingly, Audi announced the Q2 facelift globally weeks after the India launch of the Q2. Audi India later said that they will introduce the facelifted Q2 at the right time in our market. However, now that Audi has decided to pull the plug on the Q2, we do not expect its Indian arm to launch the Q2 facelift on our shores.

In India, the Audi Q2 is sold via the CBU route, resulting in an exorbitant price tag. The India-spec Q2 is offered with Audi’s 2.0L turbo petrol engine, mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive. The turbo petrol engine produces 190PS of power and 320Nm of torque. Audi offer the Q2 in Standard, Premium, Premium Plus, and Technology trim levels. The Q2 range starts from Rs. 35 lakh and goes up to Rs. 48.90 lakh ex-showroom. Even though the Q2 doesn’t have a direct rival in the Indian market, its high price tag puts it in the same league as the BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz GLA, and Volvo XC40.
