Mahindra has finally showcased the TUV Stinger convertible SUV concept at the ongoing 2018 Auto Expo in Delhi. The concept is based on the principle of the Mahindra TUV300 sub-4 metre SUV and represents the automaker’s "Live Young Live Free" motto. The SUV targets the young buyers in the country but the automaker hasn't revealed any production plans for the concept looking at the increasing number of quirky and modern utility vehicle like the Honda WR-V, Renault Captur and the new Ford Freestyle, there definitely is a space and need for a vehicle based on the showcased TUV Stinger convertible SUV.
Under the hood, the Mahindra TUV Stinger concept gets the automaker’s 2.2-litre mHawk engine, which delivers 140 bhp of maximum power and develops 320 Nm of peak torque.
Based on the TUV 300 by Mahindra, the concept looks the blend of an urbane and rugged vehicle. A large chrome grille with a big logo applique that Mahindra says is inspired by a bird in flight, to symbolize the spirit of freedom along with beefy and muscular wheel arches with robust body cladding are the major highlights of the Mahindra TUV Stinger convertible SUV concept. Apart from these, stylish LED headlamps and nice contemporary LED taillamps are the other design elements at the exterior.
Talking about the interior, the concept offers premium interior with abundant leg room and unlimited headroom, a well-equipped dashboard with a smart infotainment system equipped with Mahindra connectivity technology.
