Is This The Upcoming 2023 Citroen C3 Aircross SUV? | V3Cars

At the launch of the C3, Citroen revealed their plans to launch an SUV in the near future. With the C3 launch now out of the way, the French carmaker is now gearing up to launch the C3 Aircross. The C3 Aircross will be positioned as a spacious family SUV.

Citroen C3 Aircross

Citroen will launch the C3 Aircross SUV in 2023, along with a C3-based electric vehicle. A few spy shots of a new Citroen SUV surfaced online and we believe it could be the new C3 Aircross. After a close look at the spy shots, we can confirm that the test mule in the spy shots is longer than the C3. Hence, we can expect the C3 Aircross to be longer than 4 metres and compete against the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq and the upcoming Maruti Nexa Grand Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.

While the design of the test mule is completely under wraps, the tail lights on the test car are similar to that in the C3. However, the production-spec model could get a different set of LED tail lights. The test mule was also seen equipped with big steel wheels. However, we expect the top variants of the production-spec model to feature alloy wheels

Unlike the C3, the C3 Aircross will come loaded with features. We expect the C3 Aircross to offer LED headlights, keyless entry with push-button start/stop, automatic climate control, cruise control, 6 airbags, sunroof and wireless phone charger.

On the powertrain front, Citroen are likely to offer the C3 Aircross with a 1.2L turbo petrol engine. In the C3, this engine produces 110PS of power at 5500rpm and 190Nm of torque at 1750rpm. Citroen could offer the C3 Aircross with 2 transmission options — 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Citroen are likely to price the C3 Aircross aggressively without skimping on features.
