2022 Citroen C3 Expected Prices — Launch On July 20 | V3Cars

Citroen are set to open bookings for the C3 on July 1 and launch the hatchback on July 20. Here, we try to calculate the C3’s expected price based on its features and engine options.

It is worth noting that the C3 will carve a space for itself between the Renault Kwid and Tata Punch. Hence, we expect Citroen C3 to cover a wider range of segments.

We expect the Citroen C3’s prices to start at Rs. 4.99 lakh ex-showroom. The C3 will offer only a basic set of features in the base Live variant. The C3 Feel variant is likely to come at a price of Rs. 5.99 lakh with the normal petrol and Rs. 6.79 lakh with the turbo petrol engine. We expect Citroen to offer the turbo petrol engine only with the Feel variant.

C3

At launch, Citroen will offer the C3 with two engine options. The 1.2L normal petrol engine will produce 82PS of power at 5750rpm and 115Nm of torque at 3750rpm. The 1.2L turbo petrol will produce 110PS of power at 5500rpm and 190Nm of torque at 1750rpm. The 1.2L normal petrol and the 1.2L turbo petrol will come with 5-speed manual and 6-speed manual transmission respectively. Citroen India are likely to offer an automatic transmission option with the C3 at a later date.

As we stated earlier, the C3 will slot in between the Renault Kwid and the more expensive Tata Punch. While the equipment on offer in the C3 feels quite basic, Citroen have suggested that a more premium Aircross version is in the pipeline, along with an all-electric C3 as well.
