Hyundai Exter Exterior Details

While Hyundai have only teased the silhouette of the Exter, a few spy shots give us an overall idea of its design and proportions. A prominent glass house along with a steeply raked front windscreen are the key takeaways from the spy shots. The upcoming Hyundai Exter could be the tallest small SUV in its class, including the Tata Punch, Maruti Suzuki Fronx and Citroen C3. Considering that the Grand i10 Nios already has a tall boy design, the new Exter is likely to have a tall riding stance.

Hyundai Exter Powertrain Details

Since the new small SUV, Hyundai Exter, is likely to share its platform with the Grand i10 Nios, it is safe to assume that it will also borrow the 1.2L normal petrol engine from the Nios hatchback. The Fronx and C3 also have a 1.2L normal petrol engine at affordable price points. The Exter could also offer a 1.0L turbo petrol engine with the higher variants, to cater the enthusiasts. In this area also, the C3 turbo and Fronx turbo have established that for higher variants, a turbo petrol engine is a natural fit. Furthermore, considering the popularity of CNG powered vehicles these days, Hyundai may also offer the Exter with a factory-fitted CNG option for cost-conscious buyers.
