Hyundai Creta EV Spied At Charging Station – Likely To Debut In Late-2024 | V3Cars

The Hyundai Creta, which is currently available with a choice of normal petrol, turbo petrol, and diesel engines, will soon gain a new all-electric powertrain option. While Hyundai India are yet to confirm the launch of the Creta EV or reveal any of its powertrain specifications, spy shots of the Creta EV have emerged online from both Indian and South Korean roads and parking lots.

The latest Creta EV spy shot comes from South Korea and it shows the electric SUV charging its batteries at a charging station.

Hyundai Creta EV Design And Features

Based on the latest spy shots, we can confirm the Creta EV will share the Creta 2024's quad-beam LED headlamps and connected taillamps. Unlike the Creta 2024's diamond-cut alloys, the EV gets aero-optimised wheels. The side profile remains largely untouched, but the front bumper could sport a closed grille for better aerodynamics and efficiency.

While the interior of the Creta EV isn’t visible in the new spy shots, we expect it to feature a cabin that’s similar to the 2024 Creta along with a few EV-specific touches. So expect Hyundai to retain the twin screen layout while offering a rotary dial in place of the gear lever to switch between the drive modes.

Hyundai Creta EV Expected Powertrain

While Hyundai are yet to reveal the exact battery and electric motor specifications of the Creta EV, we expect the SUV to come packed with a 50-70kWh battery pack with the option of a single or dual-motor setup. Expect the Creta EV to produce between 150PS - 200PS of power and a claimed driving range of over 400km. When launched, the Hyundai Creta EV will take on the upcoming Tata Curvv EV, Tata Harrier EV and the MG ZS EV, among others. We expect the Hyundai Creta EV to roll out before the Kia Seltos EV, while both could offer similar features and performance.
