Official: Hyundai To Increase Prices From Jan 1 | V3Cars

Hyundai India recently notified us about a price hike from January 1, 2024. The reasons for the price hike quoted in the notification are the usual suspects: inflation and rising input costs. We expect it to remain fairly low and in the 1-2% range.

Hyundai Price Hike

The statement reads:

At Hyundai Motor India, we always try to absorb the cost escalations to the extent possible and ensure continuous customer delight. However, it has now become imperative to pass on some portion of the rising input cost to the market through a minor price increase. The price hike will be effective from January 1st, 2024.”

HMIL will continue to make consistent internal efforts to minimize future price impact to customers.

Hyundai are gearing up to launch the Creta facelift in January 2024. The Hyundai Creta is a hot product for the carmaker and the updated SUV is expected to receive a significant price hike, just like we saw with the Kia Seltos facelift. However, like the Seltos facelift, the Creta facelift will justify the price hike with additional features such as advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and 360-degree parking camera.

Meanwhile, the rest of Hyundai India’s lineup, including the Grand i10 Nios, Aura, Venue, Verna, Alcazar and the Tucson are expected to receive a price hike of 1-2%. Hence, we do not expect to see a huge price increase for these models in January 2024. Currently, Hyundai are offering discounts and cash benefits on certain models all throughout December 2023.
