Breaking: Hyundai Ioniq 5 Now Officially Available With Rs. 10 Lakh Discounts | V3Cars

Hyundai were offering Rs. 7.0 lakh upfront cash discounts on the 2024 stock of Ioniq 5 electric car in November 2025. Now, though, they have increased the discounts to Rs. 10.0 lakh. We don’t have the exact details about the breakup of this discount. As in, how much of this is exchange, loyalty and in the form of some accessories. But, the fact that the information is now official on the Hyundai India website suggests that this is a good time to buy the car if you have been sitting on the fence about buying yourself the flagship Hyundai electric car.

Now Get 10 Lakh Discounts On Hyundai Ioniq 5

If Hyundai are officially announcing Rs. 10.0 lakh discounts on their website, you could take that as the baseline of cash offer when approaching the negotiation phase for the car. In fact, we would suggest you be prepared to hold your purchase and bargain harder to rake in a little more benefits. If you manage to score the Rs. 10.0 lakh off on the Ioniq 5, this would bring the price to Rs. 36.30 lakh + insurance and registration costs.

However, if you manage to negotiate for another Rs. 1.30 lakh in cash benefits, that would bring the price to an even round figure of Rs. 35.0 lakh + insurance and registration. At this price, the Ioniq 5 really sounds like a sweet deal.

10 Lakh Discounts On Hyundai Ioniq 5

The lack of support from the government towards electric car adoption was visible in the revised GST rates as EVs got absolutely no rate cut. Moreover, the Ioniq 5 has been struggling as the competition heats up and sandwiches the car. On the higher end, the BYD Sealion, Seal and BMW iX1 LWB are offering luxury badge. Meanwhile, on the budget side, the Mahindra BE6, XEV 9e, Tata Harrier EV and the upcoming Mahindra XEV 9s are making the Ioniq seem overpriced.

From a long-term reliability and maintenance angle, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 comes across as a solid option, if you can get it for a target price of Rs. 35.0 lakh + registration and insurance. At this price, it is worth the premium you’re paying over the Harrier EV top model or the XEV 9e top model for the exclusivity and smoother ownership experience.
