Hyundai To Set Up 10 New DC Fast Charging Stations In 2024 | V3Cars

Hyundai Motor India have successfully expanded its Ultra-High Speed Public EV Charging Network in India, establishing eleven stations across key highways and cities. Each station features three charging points with capacities of 150 kW, 60 kW, and 30 kW. This initiative aims to lead electric vehicle adoption, addressing range anxiety for both intercity and intracity travel.

Commenting on the expansion milestone of Ultra-Fast DC chargers, Mr. Jae Wan Ryu, Executive Director, Corporate Planning, Hyundai Motor India Ltd., said:

  • Mumbai: This city has an Ultra-Fast DC charging station that can cater to the needs of EV users traveling on the Mumbai-Surat and Mumbai-Nashik highways.
  • Pune: This city has an Ultra-Fast DC charging station that can serve the EV users traveling within the city or to nearby destinations.
  • Ahmedabad: This city has an Ultra-Fast DC charging station that can support the EV users traveling within the city or to neighboring states.
  • Hyderabad: This city has an Ultra-Fast DC charging station that can assist the EV users traveling on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway or within the city.
  • Gurugram: This city has an Ultra-Fast DC charging station that can help the EV users traveling on the Delhi-Jaipur highways or within the National Capital Region (NCR).
  • Bangalore: This city has an Ultra-Fast DC charging station that can aid the EV users traveling within the city or to nearby tourist spots.

Key Features Of New Charging Stations

  • 24x7 Operation: Most of these chargers are operational round the clock for ease of usage of customers.
  • Staff: These charging stations are staffed by dedicated personnel who can assist the customers with the charging process and any queries they may have. 
  • Amenities: These charging stations have been deployed at prominent locations with multiple customer amenities nearby such as coffee shops, restaurants, restrooms, ATMs, convenience stores, and other utilities.
  • EV Charge app: The EV charging stations are visible on Hyundai’s app called ‘myHyundai’ under EV Charge for discovering chargers, navigation to chargers, pre-booking of charging slot, digital payment and charging status monitoring. Customers can pay using various modes such as credit cards, debit cards, UPI, or e-wallets.
