In this June 2023 car sales analysis article, we’ll look at the YoY and MoM change in sales figures of all A-segment hatchbacks in India. We’ll also include our observations based on the sales data and possible reasons behind a massive increase or drop in sales where applicable. Lastly, the table with monthly sales of all A-segment hatchbacks for the last 6 months will give you an idea about the 6-month sales trend.
A-Segment Hatchback June 2023 Car Sales - YoY Change
- Among mass volume cars from the A-segment hatchback category, all cars reported some decline in YoY comparison analysis, except the S-Presso, which reported an YoY gain of 319%.
- The Celerio saw the biggest YoY drop in June 2023, with a decline of 61% in June 2023 over June 2022, was the top losing car in the segment
- Renault Kwid also saw a 47% decline in dispatch figures over that of June 2022
- Hyundai Santro was discontinued over the past year

A-Segment Hatchback June 2023 Car Sales - MoM Change
- Maruti S-Presso was the only MoM loser in the A-segment in June 2023, with a drop of about 4.78% over its May sales figures
- The Kwid was the top gainer with over 69% MoM rise in June
- Celerio was followed by Alto pair with 20.87% MoM drop and then Celerio with a 5.69% growth
