In this June 2023 cars sales analysis article, we’ll look at the YoY and MoM change in sales figures of all B2-segment hatchbacks in India. Where applicable, we’ll also include our observations based on the sales data and possible reasons behind a massive increase or drop in sales. Lastly, the table with monthly sales of all B2-segment hatchbacks for the last 6 months will give you an idea about the 6-month sales trend.
B2-Segment Hatchback June 2023 Car Sales - YoY Change
- The Maruti Baleno was the only B2-segment hatchback with 5-figure sales numbers in June YoY comparison and was the top-selling car in the category with 14,077 units dispatched in June comparison
- Glanza was the top gaining car in YoY comparison with a 207% YoY gains in June 2023
- Glanza was followed by Tata Altroz with a 35.11% YoY growth in June 2023
- Hyundai i20 reported over 22% decline in YoY comparison and was the top loser
- Honda Jazz and Volkswagen Polo have now been discontinued by their respective manufacturers

B2-Segment Hatchback June 2023 Car Sales - MoM Change
- Tata Altroz was the top gainer in MoM comparison in June, with a growth of 34%
- Altroz was followed by i20 with a 1.12% growth in MoM June comparison analysis
- In terms of MoM sales figures, the Glanza was the top loser, with a 33% decline in sales figures
- Sales of Maruti Suzuki Baleno in June saw 25% MoM decline
