In this June 2023 car sales analysis article, we’ll look at the YoY and MoM change in sales figures of all B2-segment sedans in India. Where applicable, we’ll also include our observations based on the sales data and possible reasons behind a massive increase or drop in sales. Lastly, the table with monthly sales of all B2-segment sedans for the last 6 months will give you an idea about the 6-month sales trend.
B2-Segment Sedans June 2023 Car Sales - YoY Change
- The Tata Tigor was the top loser, with a 32.37% YoY decline in June 2023, followed by the Maruti Dzire with a 26% drop in YoY sales in June 2023
- The Dzire was the top selling sedan in the B2-segment, with 9,322 units dispatched in June 2023 compared to 12,597 units sold in the June of 2022
- The Hyundai Aura/Xcent pair was the top gainer in the B2-sedan category with a 19.62% growth in June 2023 compared to June 2022
- The Amaze was the other gainer in the category with a growth of 7.52% in YoY comparison analysis

B2-Segment Sedans June 2023 Car Sales - MoM Change
- The Maruti Suzuki Dzire was the sole loser in the category with a 17.61% rise in sales in June compared to May
- The Tigor was the top MoM gainer, registering a 23.47% growth in sales in June compared to May
- Sales of the Amaze rose by 15.15% in June compared to May
- Xcent/Aura reported a growth in MoM comparison and saw a rise of 4.25%
