Kia Recall Over 30,000 Carens MPVs For Possible Glitch With Instrument Cluster | V3Cars

Kia India have issued a recall for over 30,000 units of the Carens MPVs for a possible malfunction with the instrument cluster. This is the second recall for the Carens since its launch. Read on to know more about the Kia Carens recall here.

Kia Carens Instrument Cluster Malfunction Recall

Kia India will inspect 30,297 units of the Carens MPV to fix a possible glitch in the instrument cluster. Some owners reported that the instrument cluster of the MPV was not booting up properly. The update will fix the boot up issue of the affected units. As per Kia, the affected units were produced between September 2022 and February 2023.

Kia dealerships will directly connect the owners of the affected cars and fix the issue via a software update free of charge. You can also connect with your nearest Kia dealership to check the status of your car in case your vehicle was also manufactured between September 2022 and February 2023.

Back in October 2022, Kia India issued the first recall for the Carens regarding a faulty airbag control module. Furthermore, Kia also announced a recall for their best-selling Seltos SUV over a faulty fuel pump.

The Kia Carens is the latest MPV from the South Korean carmaker in the country and with a recent update, Kia India introduced a new 1.5L turbo petrol engine for the Carens.
