Kia Release Exterior Images Of New Carnival Facelift | V3Cars

The Kia Carnival facelift was spotted undisguised in South Korea recently. Various reports suggest that the updated Carnival MPV from Kia was spotted during its ad shoot. Less than a week later, Kia revealed the exterior of the new Carnival through a set of images. The MPV in these images is the updated version of the India-bound KA4 MPV Kia India showcased at the Auto Expo 2023. So let’s take a look.

Kia Carnival Facelift Exterior Revealed

Compared to the KA4 showcased at the Auto Expo, the new Carnival facelift looks more sophisticated, especially up front. The new Carnival features a larger tiger nose grille, making it look more imposing than before. The vertical LED headlamps feature 4 LED projector units for the high and low beam, while the LED DRLs extend up to the centre of the bonnet. The LED fog lamps are mounted on the air intake lower down on the bumper, which also features a radar sensor for ADAS.

The connected LED tail lamps, roof-mounted spoiler and skid plates on the rear bumper make the Carnival facelift look a lot more premium than its predecessor. Earlier spy shots of the MPV also revealed a single-pane sunroof. However, we expect the India-spec Carnival to offer a dual-pane sunroof as it is a highly aspirational feature for Indian car buyers. Meanwhile, the body coloured C-pillar now feature dimples to add a little bit of texture to the otherwise flat side profile of the Carnival KA4.

While Kia are yet to reveal the interior of the Carnival, we expect it to offer a host of tech features, including twin curved displays for the driver and infotainment functions, and premium upholstery and materials all around.

Kia Carnival Facelift India Launch And Rivals

The new Kia Carnival facelift is expected to go on sale in India in 2014. When launched, the D2-segment MPV will have no direct rivals in the country. The new Toyota Innova Hycross is the closest competitor to the new Kia Carnival. Since the new Kia Carnival sports an SUV-esque design, it could also serve as an alternative to the D2-segment 3-row SUVs such as the MG Gloster, Jeep Meridian and Skoda Kodiaq.
