Kia have unveiled the 2026 Syros EV ahead of its launch in India and opened bookings for a token amount of Rs. 25,000. Positioned as Kia's second mass-market electric vehicle after the Carens Clavis EV, the Syros EV offers 2 battery pack options, a claimed driving range of up to 526km, Level 2 ADAS and several EV-specific technologies.
2026 Kia Syros EV Battery Pack Options, Range And Performance
The Syros EV is available with 42kWh and 51.4kWh battery pack options. While the battery packs are shared with the Hyundai Creta Electric and Kia Carens Clavis EV, the lighter Syros EV offers a significantly higher claimed driving range.
Kia say the larger battery pack supports 100kW DC fast charging, allowing it to charge from 10% to 80% in 39 minutes. Buyers can also choose between 7.4kW and 11kW AC home chargers.
The Syros EV also offers EV-specific features such as:
- One-pedal driving
- Adjustable regenerative braking with paddle shifters
- Battery conditioning
- Vehicle-to-Load (V2L)
- Shift-by-wire column-mounted gear selector
- Digital Key
- Virtual Engine Sound System (VESS)

To make EV ownership more accessible, Kia are offering the Syros EV with:

- K-Charge charging ecosystem with access to over 20,300 charging points across 23 charging networks through the MyKia app

The Syros EV carries over the boxy styling of the standard Syros while adding EV-specific touches such as Kia's Digital Tiger Face and aero-optimised alloy wheels.

Once launched, the Kia Syros EV will rival the Tata Nexon EV, Mahindra XUV 3XO EV, MG Windsor EV, Tata Punch EV and higher variants of the Hyundai Creta Electric while offering one of the longest claimed driving ranges in its segment.
