Even though the 5-seater models are no longer available, Mahindra still offer a wide range of choices with 43 different variants of the XUV700 in 6 and 7-seater configurations. The MX variant is now only available as a 7-seater. The AX5 and AX5 S variants are also now only offered with 7 seats. If you are looking for a 6-seater option, you will need to consider the higher AX7 and AX7 L variants.

2025 Mahindra XUV700 At A Glance

It’s important to note that Mahindra haven’t made any other changes to the XUV700. The look of the SUV, both inside and out, remains the same. It also continues to be powered by the same set of engines – a 2L turbo petrol engine and a 2.2L diesel engine, with both manual and automatic gearbox options available.

The Mahindra XUV700 competes with other SUVs in the market like the MG Hector, MG Hector Plus, Tata Harrier, and Tata Safari. Now that the XUV700 is only available with 6 or 7 seats, it will directly rival models like the Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus.

This move by Mahindra seems to be a way to simplify the number of options available to buyers. While some may miss the more affordable 5-seater versions, customers still have a large selection of 6 and 7-seater XUV700 variants to choose from.
