The current-gen Ertiga is available in four variants: L, V, Z and Z+, priced from Rs 7.44 lakh to Rs 10.90 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Apart from the newly launched diesel engine, on the other hand, the MPV continues to get the same 1.3-liter unit that makes 89 hp of maximum power and 200 Nm of peak torque. Both the engines are mated to a 5-speed MT, while the petrol engine is available with a 4-speed automatic transmission as well. The claimed fuel efficiency of the engines for the new Ertiga is 19.34 kmpl (petrol MT), 18.69 kmpl (petrol AT) and 25.47 kmpl (Diesel MT).
In terms of features, the second gen Ertiga is equipped with projector headlamps, fog lamps, LED tail lamps, 15-inch wheels, auto climate control with rear AC vents, 7-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and CarPlay, push-button start-stop, ventilated front cup holders and a reverse parking camera. Safety features on offer include ABS with EBD, dual front airbags, Isofix child seat anchors and reverse parking sensors. It also gets ESP and hill hold for safety, but they are limited to the automatic transmission variants only.
Famous among India's young purchasers, Maruti Suzuki's Next Gen Ertiga is India's top of the line MPV. It is a pioneer in the section with 39 percent share of the overall industry.
