Grand Vitara To Be The 1st Maruti With A Panoramic Sunroof

The new Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara shares its underpinnings with the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. While the platform and powertrains remain the same between both models, the Grand Vitara will feature a distinct design over the Hyryder. In the official teasers, we can see tri-pattern LED DRLs, a bigger rectangular chrome grille and LED headlights. At the rear, the Grand Vitara gets connected LED tail lights and ‘Grand Vitara’ lettering spread across the tailgate.

On the inside, the Grand Vitara Hybrid will feature the same dashboard design as the Hyryder. However, Maruti Suzuki could use a lighter shade for the upholstery and use different trim pieces as well. The 2022 Maruti Grand Vitara is likely to get the same features as the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.

We recently shared that Maruti Suzuki will offer the strong hybrid powertrain only with the top 2 variants of the Grand Vitara. On the other hand, the Urban Cruiser Hyrder gets 3 variants with the strong hybrid powertrain. The base engine for the Grand Vitara will be the same 1.5L normal petrol unit found in the XL6 and Brezza.

Maruti Suzuki will unveil the new Grand Vitara on July 20.
