Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara

We expect Maruti Nexa to offer the Grand Vitara in 4 variants — Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. The 1.5L mild hybrid powertrain may come in all the variants whereas the 1.5L strong hybrid is likely to come only in the Zeta and Alpha variants. On the other hand, Toyota offer the hybrid powertrain of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder in its top variants.

Grand Vitara

Maruti Nexa are dropping a new teaser everyday, shedding light on multiple features and design elements of the new Grand Vitara. The Japanese carmaker has confirmed that the Grand Vitara, like the Urban Cruiser Hyryder, will boast all-wheel-drive, christened AllGrip.

On the design front, the new Grand Vitara will boast multiple design changes over the Urban Cruiser Hyryder. The teasers reveal a large rectangular chrome grille, 3-pot LED DRLs, LED headlights and connected LED tail lights. It will also get  large ‘Grand Vitara’ lettering  spread across the boot.

On the powertrain front, the Grand Vitara will share its engine options with the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. It will come with a 1.5L mild-hybrid petrol engine and a 1.5L strong-hybrid petrol engine. It is worth noting that only the mild-hybrid petrol engine will offer the option of a manual transmission and all-wheel-drive.
