2022 Maruti Nexa XL6 Could Get 9.0-inch Touchscreen Infotainment | V3Cars

Maruti Suzuki commenced bookings for the 2022 Ertiga today. We learned that the 2022 Ertiga will get a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system and not the bigger 9.0-inch infotainment display that’s now on offer with the 2022 Baleno. However, we expect Maruti Suzuki to offer the bigger 9.0-inch infotainment display with the XL6 to support the premium positioning of the family mover.

Expect Maruti to give the XL6 several more premium features over the Ertiga. Apart from the bigger 9.0-inch touchscreen display with telematics, the XL6 could also boast features like a 360-degree parking camera, a head-up display and 6 airbags. However, Maruti are yet to confirm these feature additions.

In terms of cosmetic changes, the 2022 Maruti Nexa XL6 is likely to receive a new grille and updated bumpers. As Maruti Suzuki revealed at the launch event of the Baleno, all upcoming Nexa models will share a common design language. Hence, the XL6’s headlights are likely to get tri-LED elements as seen on the Baleno. The same tri-LED pattern is likely to find a place in the taillights as well. The 2022 XL6 will also gain a new exterior paint option along with a new design for the 15-inch alloy wheels.

In terms of powertrain, the 2022 Maruti Nexa XL6 will get the new 1.5L normal petrol engine with dual-jet technology and a mild-hybrid system. Maruti Suzuki are yet to announce the power and torque figures of the new petrol engine. However, we can now confirm that the 2022 XL6 will get a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The 5-speed manual transmission will remain on sale without any changes. We expect Maruti Suzuki to launch the 2022 XL6 in the last week of April 2022.
