With this price increase, the KM-to-breakeven will also shift higher as you’ll need to drive more just to recover the higher upfront cost of the car. While aftermarket CNG kits don’t cost anywhere close to Rs. 95,000, you’re mostly paying for the peace of mind as you get manufacturer warranty with the car. The additional cost will add about 2,000 - 3,000km to your breakeven mileage. Which means, you will have to drive the car a little more to recover the additional Rs. 5,000 you’re paying upfront with lower running costs.
