Before the price unveil of the Grand Vitara, we expected the SUV’s prices to start from Rs. 9.50 lakh ex-showroom. While our in-house calculations were closer to the launch prices, a price leak from Nexa’s official website influenced our price for the base Sigma variant. As we took the base price to gauge the premium charged by the manufacturer for the extra set of features offered in the higher variants, it further influenced the expected prices of the higher variants as well. All in all, our expected prices were off by Rs. 90,000 to Rs. 1.90 lakh.
