Maruti Suzuki launched the Jimny 5 door a couple of weeks ago and the initial response for the lifestyle off-roader has been good. Maruti Suzuki have now revealed the variant-wise booking breakdown for the new Jimny along with the tentative waiting period.

Maruti Suzuki have revealed that Jimny buyers so far prefer the manual variants over the automatic variants. Earlier, the variant breakdown between the MT and AT variants was 50:50 but since the price announcement, there has been a dip in bookings for the automatic variants of the Jimny.

Furthermore, the carmaker also shared that the top variants of the Jimny have received more bookings than the lower variant. Currently, the Jimny Alpha MT and Alpha AT share around 35% each of the total bookings whereas the Zeta MT and Zeta AT variants account for 15% share each of the total bookings. However, since the data compiled by Maruti Suzuki so far is from a short time frame, one could expect these figures to change in the near future.
Maruti Suzuki also revealed that the Jimny 5 door has garnered over 35,000 bookings since bookings opened. The aforementioned number of bookings translate to a waiting period of around 7 - 8 months. It is worth noting that the waiting period varies based on the chosen powertrain, variant, colour and location.

Maruti Suzuki, the daily bookings tally for the Jimny 5 door increased post its price reveal. Before the price reveal, the Jimny 5 door received 92 bookings a day while post the price announcement, the daily bookings tally for the off-roader now stands at 151 units a day.
