While all the variants will be available with a manual transmission, only three variants -- VXi, VXi(O) and VXi+ -- will be available with an automatic transmission option. It remains to be seen what features would be on offer on the S-Presso, but driver side airbag, ABS, seat-belt reminder, speed alert system and rear parking sensors are bound to come as standard.
As far as dimensions are concerned, the S-Presso will measure 3665mm in length, 1520mm in width and 1549mm in height (with 13-inch wheels). There will be variants in which the S-Presso would come with 14-inch wheels, and that would impact the height of the vehicle. In that case, S-Presso’s height would measure 1564mm. Its wheelbase measures 2380mm.

The S-Presso will be bigger than the Alto K10, but smaller than the Celerio in most dimensions. It will be longer than the WagonR, but the WagonR will remain wider and taller than the new hatchback.

Under the hood, the S-Presso will be powered by a 1.0-litre petrol engine that is good to generate 68PS of peak power, as per the leaked document. The same engine is on offer on other Maruti Suzuki cars like the Alto K10, WagonR and Celerio. It will be paired with a 5-speed MT and an AMT gearbox. A CNG variant is also expected to come at a later stage.
The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is slated to launch in India on 30 September 2019, and is likely to be priced in the range of Rs. 3.5 lakhs – Rs. 5 lakhs.
