Upcoming Cars In July 2025 - Kia Carens Clavis EV And MG M9 Electric MPVs | V3Cars

1. Kia Carens Clavis EV (Mid July)

Kia India introduced the petrol and diesel versions of the 2025 Carens Clavis in May this year, starting at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 11.50 lakh. Now, the company is preparing for a major launch: the 2025 Carens Clavis EV, which will be their first mass-market electric vehicle for the Indian market. Its official unveiling is scheduled for July 15.

The electric Carens Clavis is expected to share much of its design with its ICE sibling. However, it will feature EV-specific styling cues and past spy photos have shown that the charging port for the Carens Clavis EV will be conveniently located on the front of the vehicle. Inside, the cabin layout is expected to be similar to the standard Carens Clavis, providing familiar comfort and practicality. Kia could also introduce a new color scheme for the EV variant to give its interior a distinct look.

While Kia have not yet released the detailed powertrain specifications, it is widely expected that the Carens Clavis EV will utilise the same electric platform and battery setup as the Hyundai Creta Electric. This suggests the possibility of multiple battery options. For instance, a smaller battery pack paired with an electric motor producing around 135 PS, which could offer a driving range of approximately 390km on a single charge. A larger battery option, likely combined with a more powerful 171 PS motor, could help deliver an extended range of up to 473km. Overall, buyers can expect a claimed range for the Carens Clavis EV of around 400-500 km.

2. MG M9 (Mid July)

The MG M9, also known as the Mifa 9 in global markets, is an all-electric luxury MPV that is set to rival the internal combustion engine-powered Kia Carnival and Toyota Vellfire. We expect the MG M9 to cost around Rs. 70 lakh to Rs. 75 lakh (ex-showroom).

The 2025 MG M9 offers luxury features such as powered, heated and ventilated 1st and 2nd row seats, rear seats with massage function, fold-out ottomans, powered rear sliding door, twin sunroofs, rear entertainment screen and up to 12 speakers. Additionally, it will also offer ADAS and multiple airbags.
