As expected, the 4-wheel drivetrain is limited to the top Empowered variant, potentially to limit its reach so that fewer customers end up experiencing the 4WD-related bugs. The other big surprise in the Harrier EV range is the availability of the Adventure S variant, which gets an optional sunroof and costs Rs. 50,000 more than the base model. Clearly, they are expecting a lot of demand for the base trim and this time around, they aren’t planning to push buyers towards higher variants. They’re happy to snatch market share from smaller EVs such as the Creta Electric, ZS EV & hyped up electric cars such as the BE6 and XEV 9e — even if it means selling the base trim of the car.
Tata Motors are yet to reveal the variant-wise features of the Harrier EV. As soon as they are live, we’ll bring you the variants explained article and video. So, stay tuned to V3Cars website and social channels.
