May 2023 - Maruti Suzuki Arena & Nexa Car Sales Figures - YoY Change
- 8 out of 15 Maruti cars saw a drop in sales figures in our YoY Maruti Suzuki car sales comparison.
- Maruti produced 1,43,708 cars in May 2023 compared to 1,23,046 units in May 2022, which is an overall YoY growth of over 16% in 2023 compared to 2022.
- Baleno was the top YoY gainer amongst the high volume cars from Maruti, with over 34% YoY growth in the month of May. Baleno was followed by Brezza with 29.93% YoY growth in dispatches.
- The top YoY losers were Celerio and S-Presso, with a YoY decline of around 49.71% and 35.91%.
- S-Presso was followed by the Alto pair with around 27.57% YoY decline.
- Maruti launched 2 cars in the past year - Grand Vitara and Fronx.

May 2023 - Maruti Suzuki Arena & Nexa Car Sales Figures - MoM Change
- Only 5 out of 15 Maruti cars in the comparison reported a decline in MoM comparison analysis for the month of May.
- Sales of the top selling car by Maruti, the Baleno, increased by nearly 16% in May compared to April.
- Maruti Suzuki sold nearly 10,528 units of the Ertiga in May compared to just 5,532 units in Apirl, which makes for an MoM rise of over 90%, making it the biggest gainer in the May 2023 MoM comparison for Maruti Suzuki India Limited.
- The XL6 was next on the MoM gainers’ ranking, with a 25% growth. The XL6 was followed by the Eeco with a 22% growth in MoM comparison analysis.
- Among the MoM losers, the Celerio topped the list with around 34% decline in dispatch numbers in May MoM comparison.
- The Celerio was followed by the WagonR with about a 22% decline in sales numbers.
