Mercedes Benz is offering the A-Class sedan with both petrol and diesel engine options. While the A 200 d is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine making 150PS and 320Nm paired to an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic, the A 200 gets a 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine making 163PS and 250Nm paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. Mercedes is also offering an AMG variant of the A-Class sedan. Christened the A35, it is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine producing 306PS and 400Nm. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox working in tandem with Mercedes’ 4Matic 4WD system.
