Mercedes-Maybach have joined the electric revolution with the new EQS SUV. It shares its underpinnings with the Mercedes-EQ EQS and offers additional features, comfort and luxury.

The Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV comes with a two-tone paint — making it instantly recognizable as a Maybach. At the front, it gets a flat Maybach signature grille with vertical chrome inserts. The grille seamlessly merges into the headlights and also boasts an LED light bar, which connects the LED headlights. Around the side, the Maybach EQS SUV gets 22-inch alloy wheels, chrome surrounds for the window line and B-pillar and Maybach logo on the D-pillar. At the rear, it gets connected LED taillights and chrome accents on the lower bumper.

On the inside, the Maybach EQS SUV uses wooden inserts, chrome accents and wooden separation for the second row to up its luxury quotient. The dashboard continues to boast Mercedes’ MBUX hyperscreen system, which incorporates a total of 3 screens. The rear passengers also get 2 11.6-inch entertainment screens, placed on the seatbacks of the front seats. Apart from the cushy seats and headrest pillows, the Maybach EQS SUV also gets a new Maybach mode that replaces the comfort mode as the standard driving mode.

Other features of the Maybach EQS SUV include 64-colour interior ambient lighting, digital driver’s display, Burmester 4D sound system, cabin air purifier with perfume diffuser, rear refrigerator and a touch control panel for rear seat adjustment.

The Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV comes with a twin electric motor setup — mounted on the front and rear axle. It offers 658PS of power and 950Nm of torque and is capable of going from 0-100kmph in just 4.4 seconds. It comes with a claimed driving range of up to 600km on a single charge. In terms of charging, the Maybach EQS SUV can charge from 10-80% in 31 minutes via a DC fast charger.
