Other single tone colours available on the Hector include Burgundy Red, Aurora Silver, Starry Black. Now with the inclusion of two dual-tone options, the total number of colours available on the Hector has moved to 7 (five single-tone and two dual-tone). MG is not the only SUV to get dual-tone colour option in this price range since some of its rivals like the Tata Harrier, Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta are also already offered with a similar combination.
Dual-tone colour options on the Hector will be available with three powertrain options including a petrol automatic (1.5-litre turbo with 6-speed dual-clutch automatic), diesel manual (2.0-litre diesel with 6-speed manual transmission) and the petrol hybrid with manual transmission (1.5-litre turbo-hybrid with 6-speed manual transmission). The Hector also gets the standard 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine with a 6-speed manual gearbox but it is not available with dual-tone colour options since it is not offered in the top-spec Sharp variant.
MG has not yet announced the prices of the dual-tone Hector. Expect it to attract a premium of around Rs 30,000 over the corresponding single tone variant. Currently, it is priced from Rs 12.84 lakh to Rs 17.89 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It will continue to rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Tata Harrier.
